CMD woos support for Kebbi health institutions

Kebbi State Chief Medical Director and Permanent Secretary in charge of Sahyaya Memorial General Hospital, Dr. Aminu Haliru Bunza has called on the individuals, NGOs and other philanthropists to complement government efforts in promoting health care services delivery in the state.

He made the call while delivering his New Year message to journalists in his office adding that health system is a capital institutions that needs individual support to ensure the safety of lives of the people.
He explained further that Kebbi State Governor has upgraded the hospital to the next level adding that very soon the hospital will be accredited with the National and Dental Medical Services.
Bunza who is also a consultant of Dermatologist and Venerologist said that if upgrade to the teaching hospital it will occupy over five hundred sick beds and it will also be attached to the University of Science and Technology Aliero in order to allow the State indigenous students to study medical sciences.
The CMD who pointed out that the hospital his receiving about 45 medical consultant professor, doctors who specialize in a different filed urge people to support the state government to ensure development.
“We do spend about N3.5m on the consultants doctors and we still also needs to employ more medical personnel and non-medical personnel in the hospital for the betterment of the people,” he added.
He then urged the people to be patient with the staffs as health services are not an easy task but they are ready to rescue one millions lives.
