Niger: Tafa LG Chairman promises to repair roads

The Executive Chairman of Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State, Hon. Ibrahim Mami Ijah, has promised to repair the dilapidated roads in the area through the assistance of the Executive Governor of the state, Hon. Abubakar Sani Bello Lolo.
He also said his administration would focus on the development of Tafa community in the interest of the people residing there.
Ijah made the promise in an interview with newsmen in his office in Tafa on Wednesday, saying that he would operate an open door administration or policy.
He further painted out that his leadership would do everything possible to bring the people together for the sake of peace in the area.
Commenting on the education of the youths, the chairman said he would not hesitate to give priority attention to the education of the youths.
His words: “Committee on Education was set up and gazetted by Niger State Education Board and that the Commissioner of Education, Hon. Mohammed Sani Idris is the Chairman of the committee”.
This, according to the Chairman, the committee will help the admission seekers in various institutions.
On the skills acquisition, he said he would complement the efforts of the state government and President Muhammadu Buhari to empower the youths through the skills acquisition programme.
While speaking on the revenue generation of the council, he said his administration would focus on the revenue generation to move the Tafa community to the next level.
