Anchor Borrowers Programme: Kebbi dep.gov assures on loan recovery

To compliment the efforts of Bank of Agriculture (BOA) in recovery the Anchor Borrowers Loan, Kebbi State Deputy Governor and also the recovery committee chairman on Anchor Borrowers Programme, Col. Ismail Yombe Dabai has said that the committee made tremendous achievements in recovering back loans from the defaulters.
He disclosed this yesterday during an interactive session with the members of the Rice Farmer Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) Kebbi State chapter held at Government House Birnin Kebbi, adding that those who collected loan have started paying back.
He also noted that with the effort of the state government, security agents a lot of money were recovery which will also be another advantage for those who are willing to participate in the programme.
Dabai who appreciated the efforts of the Bank of Agriculture for intensify their surveillance by ensuring that all the necessary beneficiaries have been captured in order to bring sanity to the programme and ensure that money are shared accordingly.
Also responding, the committee members of the Anchor Borrowers Programme and also a stakeholder under the Rice Farmer Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Abubakar Dakingari, has said that the programme has made significant impact by making people to be self-reliance and reduce poverty in the country.
He then appealed to Nigerians to support the programme in order to ensure that there is sufficient food in the country.
