Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Kebbi State chapter has suspended their indefinitely warning strike over the non-implementation of the new minimum wage.
The suspension was done based on the sequel to the agreement reached between the labour and State Government yesterday.
Addressing Press Conference yesterday the State Chairman of the Union comrade Umar Alhassan said that out of the four Issue they demands, the State Government was able to approved some while the negotiation will continued.
He explained further that the Government has inaugurated the committee for the implementation of the new minimum wages while promised to commence the payment of last year leave grants.
“they will commence the payment of the leave grants from level 1 to 6 this month while from level 7 to above will be pay by next month” he added.
He added that others demand such as the implementation of the annual salary increments and also died gratitude for the retired Civil servants will also be paid very soon.
He then appealed to the Civil servants to remain calm as the Union is working hard to ensured that justice has been done to the workers in the State.
