The chairman Yoruba Council Of Chiefs and Obas in the 19 northern states and Abuja, Ambassador Muhammad Arigdabuwo has expressed his support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s economic diversification call.
His reason being the outbreak of coronavirus and its attendant economic consequences on the country.
He gave the President his support while speaking to the media in Kaduna yesterday.
The monarch said COVID -19, had brought about a sharp decline in crude oil prices thereby elevating the country’s economic risks,
He said it is thoughtful for President Muhammadu Buhari to look for others sources of revenue to ease the effects of the pandemic on the country.
The royal father therefore called on all Nigerian to support the President move, saying it is time to look inward in order to reduce the effects of the pandemic on the people.
He specifically noted that the sharp decline in crude oil prices will reduce the projected revenue will directly affect all sectors.
Arigdabuwo called for prayers from all quarters in the country for wisdom and knowledge for the leadership of the country as they battle the Coronavirus.
