Proprietors of private schools disown member over alleged rape of pupil

The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools ( NAPPS) Kaduna State Chapter has disowned the Proprietor of Liberation College in Tirkania Chikun Local Government Area of kaduna State Mr Samuel Ejikemi who was alleged to have rape a nine-year old pupil.
The Chairman of the Association Mall.Jaafaru Yusuf Riyoji disclosed this in a statement made available to the media in Kaduna Wednesday.
The statement added that after
due investigation, from the Sabo Division Chairman the suspect is not a registered member of Association.
The chairman also expressed his doubt if the school is registered with the Quality Assurance Authority, saying It’s not in the character of its members to engage in such unethical conduct.
Mall.Jaafaru Yusuf Riyoji further said such behaviour is unethical, immoral and is condemned by all NAPPS Members. He therefore said the matter should immediately be investigated and the culprit be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others.
He called on the government to strengthened the Association and made itself regulating in order to screen and fish out undesirable elements in the profession.
“That NAPPS is in total support of the immediate action taken by the State.” He said
It would be recalled that
Kaduna State Government withdrew the license of Liberation College Tirkania, Kaduna, over alleged rape of a nine-year old pupil by the proprietor, Mr Samuel Ejikeme.
The state Commissioner for Education, Dr Shehu Makarfi said in a statement in Kaduna, that the school was equally closed down as directed by Gov. Nasir El-Rufai.
Makarfi said that the Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development, Mrs Hafsat Baba, who reported the incident, said Ejikeme confessed to raping the nine-year old girl on tape.
