Candido tasks AMAC residents on sacrifice, love

The Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido has called on Christians especially those residing in the Council to remember the true meaning of Easter, which reflects in the virtue of sacrifice that has been made out of love.
Candido, who extended Easter greetings to all Christian faithful in the Area Council and FCT at large, noted Easter is being celebrated all over the world in memory of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Noting that this year’s Easter low-key celebration outlook, in the wake of global pandemic COVID-19, which has compelled a nation wide lockdown, the Chairman urged them to continue the celebration at home with just family and avoid large crowd.
He reminded the residents to comply with the directives on physical distancing and observance of basic rules of hygiene so as to prevent the spread of COVID-19, and stay safe in all AMAC communities.
He, therefore, called on the Christians to pray fervently during this celebration for the spirit of Easter to prevail on COVID-19 to be defeated.
