The decision by Northern Governors Forum to set up economic think tank committee headed by Kebbi State Governor Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has been applauded by Small Scale Entrepreneurs in Kebbi State.
“It will go along way in reinventing and repositioning the economic base of Northern States with a view to becoming global competitive block.
This was stated yesterday by Vice Chairman of Nigeria Association of Small Scale Industrialists Kebbi State chapter Alh Abubakar Bagudu Dallatun Kalgo.
He further called on all well meaning individuals, corporate Organizations and organised private sector groups to key into the roadmap to be designed by the Bagudu led Committee.
Exploring the abundant Agricultural, tourism and mineral resources of the north for greater economic exploits is key to the future therefore all hands must be on deck to make the North come out stronger and boyant in the aftermath of COVID 19 pandemic : He added.
The Secretary expressed confidence that the Bagudu led Committee has the ability and acumen to provide the necessary impetus to creating robust economic engagements across the length and breadth of northern Nigeria.
The statement advised the forum to design youth centred programs that can provide opportunities and platforms for them to utilise their talents, time and energy in productive activities as panacea for restiveness, insecurity and destitution prevalent in the region.
