NFCA establishes Development Fund for coaches

Determined to increase and sustain its outreach to members and be more responsive to their needs, the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, NFCA has established a Development Fund to cater for the needs of the members.
The establishment of the Development Fund was part of resolutions reached at a recently held meeting by the National Working Committee, NWC of the association.
In a release made available to our correspondent, NFCA President, Isa Ladan Bosso said the Development Fund, among other things, is meant to cater for the needs of Coaches while in active service or out of service
Bosso said that In view of the risks and uncertainties that are characteristics of the job especially in Nigeria, the Association decided to start this initiative as a way of contributing effectively to the welfare of its members.

“The Fund is aimed at providing benefits and incentives such as insurance cover, medical assistance, soft loans, training and retraining, empowering of members through acquisition of entrepreneurial skills, among others,” he said.
The committee also appointed Grassroots Sports and Marketing Limited as Consultant to facilitate the effective and efficient management of the fund
The Consultants have been asked to swing into action immediately to ensure the take-off and success of the project.
