Kebbi govs wife donates 2-bed room flat to blind beggar

The wife of the Kebbi State Governor, Hajiya Aisha Bagudu has constructed a 2-2 bedroom flat for a 60 years blind old man and a street beggar with 3 wives and 8 children.
She called on the philanthropists, NGOs, donor agencies and well to do individuals to support the people with disabilities in the country.
She made this call weekend, at the commissioning and handle over of the house keys and documents of the two bed room flat constructed by the wife of the governor to the person with disability adding that the disable people are also human being and they need support in order for them to survive.
The beneficiary, Mallam Mohammed Mamma who has three wives with eight children has been a street beggar for more than 60 years.
The wife of the governor who was represented by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Basic Education, Hajiya Hamman Rafiatu said that the gesture was part of her excellence contribution to support the vulnerable groups and ensure that they enjoy the same social life with the normal people.
The wife of the governor in collaboration with her NGO called Mass Literacy for the Less Privileged Alimajari Initiatives (MALLAPAI) has been supporting the orphans and widows on how to rescue their lives by given them a sense of belonging.
Also speaking, the State Coordinator of MALLPAI Foundation, Aminu Attahiru Nassarwa said that this is not the first house constructed for the people with disabilities in the state adding that the Foundation has been assisting the disable people in the society, most especially on the girl child education, skills acquisition programme and others.
Responding, the National Vice President of the people with disabilities Abdullahi Aliyu Usman thanked the wife of the Kebbi State Governor for the gestures, prayed for God’s protection and guidance.
In his speech, the Birnin Kebbi Local Government Chairman, Alhaji Aminu S. Fada commended the efforts of the wife of the Governor for rescuing the blind man from suffering, “you see this man has never dream of owning his house, the house was also furniture with water system, toilet and other facilities.
