Edo, Ondo guber: APC Governors Forum vows to entrench internal party democracy

Ahead of the Governorship election in Edo and Ondo States, the All Progressive Congress Governors Forum has vowed to entrench internal democracy in the party, even as it said the forum will be working to ensure unity and strength ahead of 2023 general election.
The Forum said this in a communique signed by its chairman, Atiku Abubaka Bagudu, who is the Governor of Kebbi State, after an emergency teleconference meeting on Saturday night in Abuja.
Other resolutions of the forum were to “collectively work to ensure strengthening fair and democratic internal party mechanism for the selection of party candidates in all elections, especially in respect of Edo and Ondo States 2020 Governorship elections.”
The Forum members also expressed confidence that the party will resolve all current challenges and emerge stronger. It unanimously reaffirmed the commitment of all Progressive Governors to work for the unity of our party.
