Edo community drags Delta Chief to Court over communal land

Ologbo Community in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, has sued the Iyasere of Warri Kingdom in Delta State, Chief Johnson Aseleghe over a communal land in Ologbo Community.
The suit which was filed by Mr Chris Uyi Otasowie on behalf of the Duke of Ologbo Community, His Royal Highness, Jason Akenzua, is among others, asking for an interlocutory injunction restraining the defendant (Chief Johnson Aseleghe), his agents and privies from trespassing on the disputed property, pending the determination of the substantive suit.
The Claimant, is also seeking an order, restraining Aseleghe from selling landed property and stop parading himself as the traditional ruler of Ologbo.
Following the absence of the defendant who is facing a murder charge and his Counsel who were both absent in court on Wednesday, Justice Daniel Iyobosa Okungbowa, adjourned ruling on the motion seeking to restrain the defendant and others, to September 25, 2020.
