Society of Engineers partner Kaduna Roads Agency

Kaduna Branch of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) is to collaborate with kaduna State Road Agency (KADRA) to ensure that the road construction and rehabilitation embark on by Nasir El Rufai adminstration is successful.
The Branch Chairman of the Society Engr Nasiru Dallatu Chawai made the assertion when he hosted the National president of the NSE Engr. Babagana Mohammed FNSE in kaduna yesterday
The NSE Chairman said the road construction and rehabilitation is opening up kaduna metropolis and the society will not stand by just watching.
‘As Engineers we are proud of the supervision role kaduna State Road Agency (KADRA) is playing in ensuring that best standard is adhere to
“ We have independently monitored the the projects and the filler we are getting is encouraging especially as KADRA is been headed by one of our own
“The Society will work together with the Road Agency professionally via suggestions and advised” he said
In his own remarks the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of KADRA Engr, Mohammed Lawal Magaji lauded the support his Agency is receiving from Kaduna State Chapter of KADRA since inception.
KADRA according to him was established with the mandate to construct, upgrade, rehabilitate and maintain roads within the state.
He said as Engineers they can attest to the fact that Road infrastructure is one of the greatest challenges of development with the the adverse effects manifesting in Road mishap and lack of accessibility to economic activities.
The KADRA MD/CEO added that this prompted kaduna State Goverment under the leadership of Mallam Nasir El Rufai to unequivocally determined to deliver on Road infrastructure in the state .
“ Kaduna State Goverment has embarked on urban Renewal project across the state which shall see to the construction of new roads and upgrade of existing roads under the supervision of KADRA.
“The kaduna Urban Renewal projects (Road components) consisit of 26 roads and Bridges; now 19 of the roads are will be dualized and the rest will be expanded
“ The road components will also includes the construction of five Bridges (Flyover and underpass) at strategic points/locations
“The progress made on this project is obvious in the metropolis and all this efforts are attributed to Mallam Nasir El Rufai promises to make kaduna great again
“ Our achievement as an Agency is a manifestion of an aggregated knowledge and skills put together by the team of professional Engineers supported by the administrators
“I am proud to say that we have put together a team professional Engineers who have made it possible through their dedication to ensure we deliver on our mandate”He said
Similarly the president of the Society, Engr. Babagana Mohammed FNSE expressed satisfaction with the ongoing urban renewal projects
The NSE president said El-Rufa’i giant strides towards giving the state a new face lift through his urban renewal projects is a step in the right direction.
He stressed that the urban Renewal projects is a demonstration of focus leadership that brings dividends of democracy to the people
According to him engineering profession is about making things better for the improved living condition of the people and the road projects is part of it.
He added that Nigerians Society of Engineers is excited by the numbers of engineers who are working for the unban Renewal Road projects to be successful.
He commended the Agency for ensuring that the stardard set are adhered to in the construction of roads in kaduna state.
Engr Babagana assured kaduna State of continuous support of the society in order to ensure that the Agency headed by one of their own excel.
