National Identification Number makes every Nigerian unique, says NTA boss

The Director-General, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Mr. Omole Olusola Adesina has commended the National Identity Management System (NIMS) project, saying that the National Identification Number (NIN) makes every Nigerian unique.

A statement issued by the Director, Corporate Communications, Anthony Okwudiafor, said Adesina, made the commendation yesterday in Abuja immediately after enrolling and obtaining his National Identification Number (NIN) Slip and Tracking ID.

He described the fast process of enrolling into the National Database and obtaining the NIN Number on the efficiency of the Organisation and the high tech infrastructure deployed by the Commission for the efficient and effective implementation of NIMS project.

“I was really impressed; I thought I was going to spend like one hour trying to do this, but this has taken a few minutes and I think it is the speed and efficiency of your organisation and infrastructure that you are using to capture all this data”.

The Director-General of NTA also said he was particularly happy for having enrolled into the National Database and obtained a unique number that has made him a unique Nigerian adding that he was very proud and happy to be part of the project.

He called on all the NTA staff and Nigerians to participate in the programme that promotes cohesion and National integration.
