Eight people in were confirm dead in a canoe mishap in Kebbi State.
The deceased included women and children, who drowned into the river, when the canoe capsized at Tungar-Gegero in Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Confirming the incident to newsmen yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State chairman of State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) Alhaji Sani Dododo, said that the incident occurred at about 10:30am yesterday.
