Covid-19: Adamawa Gov partner WHO, NCDC, NPHCDA

The Adamawa state government in collaboration with World Health Organisation (WHO) National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA)with funding support from United Nation Children’s Education Fund (UNICEF) have organised a sensitisation training for stakeholders on existence of COVID 19 pandemic in the state.
Delivering his welcome address at the training in Yola yesterday, Commissioner of Health, Professor Isah Abdullahi said the engagement of the stakeholders to add more awareness on the existence of the corona virus in our communities can never be over emphasised .
Represented by the Incident Manager,Emergency Operations Centre,EOC -COVID -19,Dr.John Stephen, Professor Abdullahi explained that the engaged critical stakeholders including traditional rulers, religious leaders as well as local government area chairmen from the 21 local councils were carefully selected for result driven outing.
Abdullahi appealed to the stakeholders to redouble their efforts in ensuring that the take-aways from the training would be step down to the larger society with a view to enlightening people on the need to observe the NCDC protocols seriously.
He noted that no intervention can success without the support and cooperation of the communities while the leaders are the representatives of those communities so much impact is being expected with this timely engagement.
