No fewer than 2,331 have so far registered in Jigawa state, as the National Youths Engagement Network (NYEN) sensitizes over 50 groups of youths on how to participate in government decision making process in the state.
The figures was announced by the chairman National Youths Engagement Network comrade Muhammad Musbahu Basirka, during a one day sensitization training held at Dutse the state capital.
He explained that, the training also aimed at equipping the participants with skills on tracking budget process as well as to enfluence government decision for a better future of the state.
Comrade Basirka maintained that, youths as backbone of any rising community, they need more chances to contribute their quota toward nation building and development.
According to him, as part of an effort to make Jigawa youths vibrant in governance participation , a plan to create 30 youths Jigawa parliament has gone far in the state.
While making his remarks at the training, the Director Youths Jigawa state ministry of information youths sports and culture Alhaji Usman Haruna, urged the participants to register their organisations with National Youths Council for a better participation in all government decision making.
