The Kebbi State Commandant of Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Alhaji Sanusi Ibrahim Gazah has said that his men attached to Zamare water side area, in Yauri Local government arrested two suspects for allegedly smuggled 73 locally guns and 450 weapons into the state.
Confirming this development on Sunday, the Commandant said the suspects were handed over to the Nigeria Customs Service.
He explained that the seized weapons were concealed inside bags of padded rice.
He said his officers subjected the vehicle and searched it thoroughly before discovering the items.
