The Edo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said the State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, is frustrated and confused for blaming former National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, over the case of Governor Godwin Obaseki regarding alleged certificate forgery.
APC Deputy Chairman, Jarret Tenebe, said this in Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area yesterday, where he pointed out that the governor should face the pending certificate forgery matter in court and desist from seeking to drag Oshiomhole’s name into the matter.
Tenebe spoke against the backdrop of a statement credited to Shuaibu in which the deputy governor was quoted as warning Oshiomhole not to use the judiciary to subvert the mandate freely given to Obaseki by the people of Edo State.
“I will describe the deputy governor as a frustrated and confused man who talks from both sides of his mouth, as well as seeking for survival.
“Oshiomhole believes totally in the judiciary having gotten his stolen mandate through the instrumentality of the courts”, the Deputy chairman said.
He accused Obaseki and his deputy of trying to blackmail the judiciary over their inability to present their certificates by resorting to the use of frivolous appeals and diversionary tactics.
