KRPC sensitizes staff on Physical, Cyber Security

Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company yesterday sensitized staff and family members on Physical and Cyber Security awareness in the company.

According to the company’s management, the campaign was to educate their staff on the dangers associated with internet crimes.

The management said they physical and cyber security protection includes protecting from fire, natural disasters, burglary, robbery, theft, vandalism and terrorism.

Speaking at the event, Manager Public Affairs Department, Malam Abdullahi Idris said the event was one in a series of quarterly public enlightment lectures approved by KRPC management with the aim of getting staff and their family members acquainted with current threats to their well-being.

He said the sensitization will also educate them on ways to handle such threats so as to live safar and happier lives.

Malam Idris further stated that the only way to achieve security is through increasing the level of vigilance through enlightenment exercises such as this one and the deployment of appropriate counter measures.

In his remarks, KRPC Executive Director Services, Malam Idi Muktar most Nigerians are victims of cybercrimes through their GSM, computer and so on.
