24 gets matching UK and US air date

Date:

British fans of Kiefer Sutherland’s 24 will not need to avoid US spoilers about the new series as the show is set to air at the same time in the UK.

The 12-part series 24: Live another day will air its first double-bill episode simultaneously in the UK and US, with the show opener date set for Tuesday, May 6 at 1am on Sky One, according to Metro.

Sky will then continue showing its weekly instalments on Wednesday evenings at 9pm, starting on May 7.

Kiefer is returning once more to his role as Jack Bauer, this time based in London as he tries to stop a drone attack on the US president who is visiting the UK capital.

Also back on the show are Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver and William Devane, with new cast members Stephen Fry, Tamer Hassan, Yvonne Strahovski and Colin Salmon joining.

Sky One boss Adam MacDonald said: “I’m delighted that Jack and the team at 24 are returning exclusively to Sky One HD.

“The scale, ambition and fast-paced energy of the series epitomise everything we look for in a drama for the channel. I can’t wait to bring it back to our customers.”
