The Nigeria Basketball Federation has described the installation of Honourable Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare as the Agbaakin of Ogbomosho as a honour truly deserved
In a congratulatory message to the Minister, the board noted that going by the achievements recorded under his leadership since assuming office, the recognition is the first of many to come.
The NBBF President, Engr Musa Kida said, “We will like to join other well-wishers to congratulate Chief Sunday Dare who has continued to use his good office to make a change in the lives of Nigerian youth and the sports world”.
“According to the Holy Book, a prophet is not recognized in his home town, but through dints of hard work, that has completely changed with his acceptance and recognition by the Soun of Ogbomosho land, Oba Jimoh Oyedunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III”.
The board is optimistic that the deserved recognition will spur him to do more while also motivating other Nigerians to work assiduously knowing that people are watching.
“Hard work is the best policy and the guaranteed route to success and recognition. Under this leadership, Nigeria successfully participated at the Afrobasket for women which we won. We also took part in the Olympics qualifiers while the men went to the World Cup as well as a successful Afrobasket qualification series.”
