The 20th Edition of the Gwagwalada Chairman’s cup competition in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has kicked-off without the official opening remarks by the Executive Chairman of the council, Mr Adamu Mustapha Danze.
In an interview at the occasion, the Head of Department in charge of Education in the council, Mrs Zara Mohammed, charged the players to exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship throughout the competition.
She also advised the youths to engage in sporting activities so that tomorrow would be better for them.
She said she would continue to organize the yearly sports competition among the youths in order to prevent them from social vices.
The chairman’s cup competition was attended by the council staff and Politicians among other dignitaries. At the end of the competition. Babayaro FC defeated Dobi United 1-0
