Adamu Shehu Muadu a 10,000m athlete of Plateau state has lodged a complaint & has called on the AFN to disqualify a Bayelsa athlete who is said to be a Kenyan taking part in the National sports festival.

The said Kenyan whose name & identity was withheld from the press came first in the 10,000m race men’s final.

Speaking shortly after he came third in his race, Adamu Shehu said the athlete in question needs to be disqualified and that the sanctity of the festival should be upheld since its a national event that does not have any international bearing on its label.

Meanwhile, technical director of the Athletics federation of Nigeria Brown “the juju man” Ebewele said they are aware of the kenyan athlete and that any athlete who is not pleased with the decision to let the foreigner represent Bayelsa state should file in a protest.

it was a bit of drama as every attempt to get the Bayelsa state coach as well as the said Kenyan athlete to talk to us yielded no positive result yesterday at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin city.
