Christians have been charged to live a selfless life that will glorify God at all times.

This charge was given recently at the Divine Life Baptist Church, Ugbeyiyi, Sapele, during the diaconate ordination of the church.

The Pastor, Rev. Elisha Awhatefe, who took his text from Acts of the Apostles, 6 reminded the diaconate candidates that their duty was that of service and they must strive to be selfless, humble and committed to the work they have been called to carry out.

Rev. Awhatefe enjoined them not to be carried away by the new responsibility but to continue to express those attribute that first qualified them as deacons.

Responding on behalf of the new ordained, Deacon Simon Ofotoku thanked God for making the ordination a reality as well as the privilege to serve in his church as well as appreciated the role various men of God played in the entire process.
