The Northern District, Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) Zaria has arrested a syndicate who specialized in stealing rail clips that hold sleepers and rail together in Zaria.
Northern District Engineer of NRC in Zaria, Alhaji Haruna Sabo disclosed this while speaking to the media yesterday.
According to him, the thieves were arrested by the staff of the district office at Sayen-Dumbi Section along Zaria to Kaduna axis on Friday.
One of the suspects, Sabitu Kabiru, a resident of Tariyar Sarki in Zaria Local Government said it was their first outing and the outing was unsuccessful.
