We ‘ll always look at aggressive measures to protect human rights, Ojukwu vows

The Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Tony Ojukwu has said that the commission will always look at every aggressive measures to protect human rights in Nigeria.
The NHRC boss who disclosed this yesterday during official unveiling of the human rights Africa international pageant, said that new and innovative ways of getting the gospel of human rights into nook and cranny of the county and Africa as a whole is not negotiable.
Ojukwu who used the opportunity to signed memorandum of understanding with Human Rights Africa International Pageant (THRAIP) said the pageantry is a reality show that aims at showcasing human rights culture throughout the Africa continent, targeting the youths as well serve as a platform for human rights sensitization and education right for the living.
He reiterated that the pageant is on beauty of knowledge, ideas and intellect, where knowledge in all areas of human rights will promote and protect through drama and skills, as a way of increasing the knowledge and understanding of human rights amongst the viewers of TV and other social media handles where the pageant will be streamed.
He noted that implementing the project will not only benefiting the individual citizens of Nigeria in particular but will also be contributing to the fulfillment of major obligations and commitment of the county in the realm of human rights in Africa and the world at large.
Speaking earlier, princess Barbara Amaka founder, House of Eden said that human rights Africa international pageant has fundamental aims to promote a more efficacious human rights culture all across Africa.
