The Executive Secretary, Prof. Idris Bugaje, said this at the virtual graduation of the trainees in Kaduna.

He said that the effort would significantly transform the TVET sector.

He commended CISCO for assisting the NBTE in its efforts to transform the TVET sector, particularly on information and communication technology as well as cyber security.

“I am impressed that CISCO Networking Academy has provided impactful support in the country’s education and socio-economic sectors.

“It is doing so in partnership with government, industry partners, educational institutions and Non-Governmental Organisations across the country. This is quite commendable,” Bugaje said.

The NBTE boss encouraged TVET institutions to liaise with CISCO to become certified academy centres for further train-the-trainer workshops within their geo-political zones.

He said that arrangements with CISCO were in top gear toward making NBTE a CISCO Academy Support Centre for capacity development and certification.
