The Department of State Services (DSS) yesterday, brought to court eight (8) out of the twelve aides allegedly arrested during a raid of Sunday Adeyemo, aka Igboho’s house in Ibadan in July.

Recall that the secret police had on July 1, invaded the Pro-Yoruba Agitator’s residents in Ibadan, Oyo State, which allegedly resulted to the death of two of his aids and 12 others arrested.

Our correspondent reports that the eight suspected associates were brought to the Federal High Court Abuja in company of the DSS operative, after failing to obey the court order of July 29.

At the last adjourned date, counsel of the Defendants Pelumi Olajengbesi had informed the court that he is being barred from accessing his clients.

Also, counsel to the DSS, David Awo, had told Justice Obiora Egwuatu that the suspects had not been brought to Court despite an order to do so because investigation are still ongoing.

He revealed that, of the 12 arrested following the raid, only three of the names contained in the court order are in DSS custody.

However, at the resumed hearing yesterday, the applicants’ counsel brought a motion on notice seeking to be granted leave of court to amend all the court processes to reflect the correct names of the applicants in custody.
