Muslim women charged to always cover body with Hijab

The National Amirah Al-Habibiyah Islamic Society, Hajia Rakiya Gambo-Ilyas has called on all Muslim women to cover their bodies with Hijab, saying that, Hijab is a way of dressing that is prescribed by Almighty Allah for Muslim women.

She also revealed that Islamic religion is not a religion of oppression, “is a religion of peace where women highly rated great prestige, well honored and we should not joke with it by disgracing our body.”

Hajia Rakiya, gave the charge in Abuja, yesterday while speaking at this world 2022 Hijab Day, with the theme”, Celebrating the World Hijab Day: Dress not Oppressed, by raising awareness of the importance of Hijab.”

While explaining the essence of Hijab Day, she explained that “this is to create awareness of the Hijab. The Hijab is not an oppressing way of dressing, it is a dressing prescribed by Allah SWA for Muslim women to dress modestly and to cover themselves”
