Stakeholders propose Nigeria’s return to parliamentary system

A pressure group, City Gate Elders have advocated for the return of Nigeria to parliamentary system of government towards advancing the nation’s development ahead of  on May 29, 2023.

Members of the non-partisan Benin-based group also known as ‘God and Nigeria people prayer Parliament’ made the submission at a Press briefing at the weekend in Benin City, Edo State Capital.

Mr. Dele Oluwatade, the national leader of City Gate Elders push back at certain policies of the government and called on lovers of democracy and close aides of President Buhari to prevail on him to quickly redirect save the nation from drifting into oblivion.

Oluwatade however sued fot the abolition of States and recommended the creation of six regions in Nigeria in order to douse the agitation for dismemberment of Nigeria.

He urged the President to set aside his Executive Powers conferred on him by the Constitution and transmute to a Prime minister for administrative convince.
