The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory  Administration(FCTA), Mr. Olusade Adesola has charged

officials of the Abuja Environmental Protection Board(AEPB) to step up their effort towards improving the sanitary and environmental conditions of Abuja, thenation’s capital city.

Adesola, who gave the charge during a meeting with the management staff of the Board, urged them to change their approach in terms of management of the city’ sanitary conditions.

According to a recent statement from Tony Odey, Press Secretary to FCT Permanent Secretary, miffed with the low revenue profile and the increasing debts owed to the Board, he admonished the AEPB staff to always be up and doing.

He however, expressed confidence in the ability of the personnel of the Board to keep the Territory clean at all times.

The Permanent Secretary, who hinted that the Administration is ready to support the Board to achieve its goals and objectives, warned that it will not tolerate any act of incompetence by any staff.

He added that already all disagreements revolving around revenue collection between Abuja  Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and the FCT Administration have been largely resolved.

Adesola equally used the opportunity to call on all Government Agencies, Estates, Private Organizations and individuals enjoying services being rendered by the AEPB to pay their bills forthwith, to enable the Board function hitch-free.
