The Principal of Government Girls Day Secondary School (GGDSS) in Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State, Hajiya Asabe Bagudu Bello, has been conferred with the media merit award of distinguished “Astute Academia 2021/2022” by the management of Orator Communications Limited, publishers of the orator weekly newspaper based in Niger State and Abuja.
Conferring the media merit award on the Principal, the managing editor of the Orator weekly newspaper, Mr Nasir Oseni, said the award was bestowed on the Principal based on her outstanding contributions in the educational sector.
Osen also pointed out that the media merit award was conferred on the recipient based on the investigations carried out by the editorial team of the organization.
The managing editor, however, commended the principal for keeping the school environment neat and tidy.
Responding, the awardee of the day, Hajiya Asabe Bagudu Bello, thanked the authorities of the Orator Communication Limited for the honour done to her.
Hajiya Asabe Bagudu Bello used the occasion to call on the teachers in the school to always remain committed to the teaching profession, as she said “we should continue to do our best and leave the rest for God”.
Some of the staff who spoke during the ceremony expressed joy over the award conferred on their Principal.
