Nigerians urged to help in developing health sector

Corporate and wealthy individuals have been urged to assist the government in improving the healthcare sector for the betterment of the society.

Air Vice Marshall Alkali Mohammed Mamu retired made the appeal at the launching of Lami Fatima Cervical Cancer Foundation book presentation in Abuja, Nigeria on Wednesday.

AVM AM Mamu rtd who is the Baraden Fika represented the Emir of Fika, Alhaji Mohammed Abali Ibn Idrissa said, “ I am calling on the corporate and wealthy individuals to assist the three tiers of government in developing the public health sector for the less privileged to benefit from better and modern healthcare sector”

According to him, the public sector is in need of support from the people for the public to have a reliable and healthy lifestyle.

AVM AM Mamu rtd however call on the people to endeavor to visit primary healthcare centers for medical experts to ascertain the illness and prescribe the best medicine and how to guard against future preventive measures.

AVM Mamu who is the traditional title holder of Barade, literally meaning Generalissimo of Fika call on the public to ensure they maintain a clean environment to guard against contracting diseases.

He however called on the health sector stakeholders to be proactive in having modern Cancer center to address the cases of different types of cancer amongst Nigerians.
