The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Zamfara State chapter has expressed readiness and satisfaction with the level of agreements for the receipt of former Governor Abdulaziz Yari, Senator Kabiru Marafa and their teeming supporters across the state soon.

Chairman of the PDP Zamfara wing, Col. Bala Mande (rtd), disclosed this to Journalists yesterday(Sunday) shortly after a closed door meeting with the party excos at the residence of former National Security Adviser (NSA), General Aliyu Gusau (rtd) in Gusau, the state capital.

He described the defection into the PDP by former Governor Yari and other political icons in the state as restrengthening the party to the position that no political party can defeat it in the state considering all historic politicians were either with Yari or Marafa.

“We met and discussed vividly on the importance of their defection with a view to rescue the state from the current negligence that may derail the entire state economy into total decadence, they need PDP as the party really needs people of their calibre”, Mande has stressed.

It would be recalled, former Governor Yari and his like-minded politicians, thought the APC’s national convention did not in anyway favoured them, the reason they had no option than to drop the party in the name of defection to parties that have less crisis for political survival.
