The Executive Chairman of Tafa Local Government Area of Niger state, Hon. Ibrahim Mami, secretary of the Council, Hon. Abraham B. Shanshi and the legislators have been conferred with media merit awards by the management of the Orator Communications limited, publishers of the Orator Weekly newspaper based in Niger and Abuja.
Hon. Ibrahim Mami was bestowed with media merit award of “Ambassador of Progress”, Hon. Abraham B. Shanshi bagged an award of “Visionary Academia 2022” and the Local Government legislators were honoured with media merit award of “Visionary Icon”.
Conferring the awards on the personalities on Monday, the Managing Editor of the Orator Weekly newspaper, Mr. Nasiru Oseni, said the awards were bestowed on the personalities based on their positive contributions towards the progress of the Council.
Oseni also pointed out that the awards were conferred on the government functionaries based on the investigations carried out by the editorial team of the Orator Weekly newspaper, as he said: “We do not honour the people base on personal interest”.
Responding on behalf of the awardees, Mami thanked the leadership of the Orator Communications Limited for the honour done to them.
However, House leader of the legislative arm of the Council, Hon. Idris Abdullahi and the Chairman of Mami Success Movement, Mr Abdulhamid Yakubu used the occasion to give kudos to the administration of Hon. Ibrahim Mami.
