A group of traders under Gombe Market Association has shown their readiness to support Alhaji Bala Bello Tinka to contest for the House of Representatives seat under the platform of the APC in 2023.
The group also purchased a nomination form worth N20 million to enable him contest.
Speaking at the event in Gombe on Thursday, the Director-General Bala Bello Tinka point campaign said the form was purchased by 10 different groups under the association.
According to him, the form bought by the group was aimed at improving the fortune of the people of Gombe north senatorial district that comprises five local government areas of Gombe; Funakaye, Nafada, Dukku and Kwami.
He said the aspirant who is vying for the House of Representatives seat came from Kwami local government area and that out of the five local government areas in Gombe north senatorial district, Kwami has not produced any member at the National Assembly since 2001 after the death of Alhaji Saidu Ahmed Bojude who was the first member of the House of Representatives that represented Gombe north senatorial district from 1999 to 2000.
