Gunmen kidnap APC chairman in Edo

Suspected herdsmen have reportedly kidnapped, Godwin Aigbogun, chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ugu Ward 9, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State.

He was allegedly kidnapped while returning from Ologbo-nugu Village farm settlement in the Local Government.

A resident in the Orhionmwon Local Government Area, confirmed the incident to our Correspondent on Monday night.

Spokesman of the Nigeria police Command in Edo State, SP. Chidi Nwabuzor confirmed the incident to our Correspondent via a telephone interview on Tuesday.

He said, “Yes, the Command is aware.”

Meanwhile, a former spokesman of Edo State APC, Comrade Godwin Erhahon, lamented that the pipeline from Oben that stretches across Ugu Ward, has become a den of bandits.
