Nigeria Immigration Service, Niger state Command has reiterated its commitment to ensure the issuance of international passport within the stipulated new policy of three to six weeks respectively.
The State Controller, Samuel Nongo gave the assurance while interacting with newsmen in Minna.
He said from March this year to date the command issued 5,683 passports to applications including 3,000 for 2022 pilgrims in the state.
Nongo revealed that the recent delays were due to the Hajj operation with exception from emergency demand.
He maintained that the challenges have reduced to the nearest minimal, adding that the passport are due for renewal after five years at the cost of maximum of N18,000 for both new and renewal of International passport.
