The heads of all security agencies in the FCT have vowed to pull ranks together to avert the recurrence of attacks on Kuje Custodial centre or any other centres in Abuja, the nation’s capital city. 

This was disclosed in a statement from Public Relations Officer, FCT Command of the Nigeria Correctional Service, Chukwuedo Humphrey, on Tuesday.

The statement explained that the assurance was part of the  resolutions made during the meeting of all heads of security agencies in the FCT which was held at the office complex of the Controller of Corrections FCT Command, Ahmed Musa Ahmed in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

 It adds: “The meeting, which was called at the instance of the Controller is geared towards evaluating the gaps in the intelligence gathering, manpower and any other defects that may have aided the attackers during the July 5th, 2022 attack on the Kuje Custodial centre in Abuja. 

“The heads of Security agencies present at the meeting were the Commissioner of Police, the Commandant of NSCDC and the Comptroller of Immigration,

Others are the Director state security services, and the Commanding Officer of the 176 guards brigade.

“The security experts after dissecting the gaps,  proffered solutions towards forestalling any future attacks.

“The resolutions among many others includes closing ranks and building a single command structure among all agencies posted as well as introduction of joint simulation training to boost understanding among personnel on duty. 

“Controller of Corrections Ahmed Musa appreciated all present as they all pledged to carry out their resolutions”.
