2023 general elections will not affect census – Federal Commissioner

The Federal Commissioner at the National Population Commission (NPC) representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Hon. Joseph Shazin Kwali, has disclosed that the 2023 general elections would not affect the National census in the country.

Shazin Kwali made the disclosure in an interview with newsmen on Saturday in Gwagwalada, explaining that the general elections would take place on February, 2023 while the census would hold on April, 2023.

His words: “We have almost finished all the perimeters that would lead to the census. So, postponing it now means to sinking huge resources that government has invested and entrusted”.
