Ortom presents N179bn budget to House of Assembly

Benue State Governor Samuel  Ortom yesterday presented the  2023 Appropriation Bill to the House of Assembly.

Titled; ‘Budget of Consolidation and Transition’, the budget has a projected expenditure of 179 billion naira.

The Governor explained that the recurrent expenditure is pegged at 106 billion naira with Capital expenditure put at 73 billion.

According to him, 48 billion naira is for personnel cost while 57billion naira is earmarked for sub head.

Ortom reiterated the determination of his government to finish strong in service of the people especially  in its trying times, pledging that he will faithfully pay workers salaries and arrears.
