The Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organisation has restated that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is the most prepared, experienced and fully ready for the number one political office in the country.

The Director of Strategic Communications of the campaign organisation, Otunba Dele Momodu, who stated this while answering questions from Journalists in Abuja, made it categorically clear that no other presidential candidate of any of the political parties in Nigeria is as prepared for the nation’s presidency as Atiku.

Otunba Momodu, a seasoned journalist and publisher, while speaking at the weekly media briefing of the PDP presidential campaign council in Abuja on Thursday, equally declared that there is still enough room for reconciliation between the PDP and the members of the G-5 Governors, led by the Rivers State Governor, Mr Nyeson Wike.

The Director of Strategic Communications, who similarly expressed shock at the latest report of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), which indicated that 63 percent Nigerians are living below poverty line, described the figure as worrisome and unacceptable.

According to Otunba Momodu , “You can’t give what you don’t have and that is why Atiku Abubakar is the best choice.

“From what he (Atiku) has been able to do in his public life as well as in private life, when you look at them, you will know that he is the most experienced and most prepared candidate in the race today. There is none close to him.

“He has operated at the national level and so he knows exactly what to do immediately he is voted into office in 2023.”, he maintained.

Speaking on the issue of the disagreement between the the PDP and the G-5 group led by Governor Wike, the Director of Strategic Communications of the PDP presidential campaign council, said, “On the issue of the governors, I am not clairboyant, I am not a prophet, I have no idea whether they will dump the party or not.

“The day they have dumped the party they will announce that they have dumped the party, we will all know.

“So far so good, they are still in the party and we are happy they are in the party.

“There is still room for reconciliation, all they are saying is that they are not happy and we will continue to pray that peace will reign in the party.

“As for the Atiku campaign we remain steadfast, we remain focused and nothing distracts our attention.

“The specific role given to our principal (when he was the Vice President under the then administration of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo) was in the area of the economy. We had the best under that government and he has been able to assemble the best brains at home and abroad.

“We are very proud and that is why he said he will continue from where he stopped and that is why we are using the word ‘recover’ Nigeria”, he declared.

The campaign organisation however blamed the present poverty rate put at 63% by the latest National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) report, on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying, “You cannot give what you don’t have, noting only the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, possesses the wherewithal to remedy the situation.
