Nigerian Military Operation Whirl Stroke, OPWS has arrested two (2) notorious criminals who specialize in kidnappers locals in Zaki-Biam, Ukum local government area of Benue State for ransom
A press statement by spokesperson of OPWS Flight Lieutenant Audu Hussaini Katty made available to Peoples Daily said they acted on a credible human intelligence on the activities of kidnappers, on 2 December 2022, swiftly mobilised and moved to the scene and arrested two notorious kidnappers named Messrs Kperai Daniel And AKanyitor Chiangi who are currently undergoing investigation after which they would be handed over to relevant authority for prosecution.
The statement also,stated that troops of operation while on routine patrol along Makurdi-Lafia road, foiled armed robbery incident and rescued one Mr Samuel Ishaya who was attacked by the the armed robbers while plying the road on the 2 December 2022 at about 7:45pm.
“The armed robbers on sighting troops abandoned the victim and dashed into the bush. Troops are currently exploiting the bush for possible arrest of the perpetrators”, the Operation spokesperson said.
