National movement for HYPPADEC passes vote of confidence on Commission

National Movement for the Actualization of Hydro Power Producing Areas Development Commission, HYPPADEC, has passed vote of confidence on the leadership of the commission and Managing Director, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa.

The national president of the group, Comrade Jibrin Abdullahi Muregi made the confirmation during their solidarity visit to the commission’s headquarters in Minna.

Comrade Muregi emphasized on the giant strides of the organization since its inception to date by ensuring that the plights of the Hydro Dam Communities in the 6 affected states were ameliorated in all ramifications.

He explained that the commission has made several interventions in the areas of security, portable water, agriculture, education, relief materials during flooding.

Responding, the HYPPADEC Managing Director, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq said he would not be distracted by the negative attractions of few individuals to the detriment of the commission.
