Arrangements have been concluded for the Northern States Governors’ Forum/USA Investors and Aid Agencies Investment Forum to hold on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja from 9 a.m.
A statement by Hon. Saidu Ndako Idris Kpaki, Secretary to the Government of Niger State and Coordinating Chairman, Forum of Secretaries to the Governments of Northern States said Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria will deliver the keynote address and declare the Forum opened.
The statement added that welcome address will be delivered by the Chairman, Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF) and Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, CON (Talban Minna). Others to deliver speech include Minister of Finance/Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Nigerian Ambassador to the United States, Professor Ade Adefuye.
Each Northern State Governor will make presentation on investment opportunities in their States in the key sectors of Agriculture, Infrastructure, Power/Energy, Health and Education, adding that exhibitions to showcase the abundant potentials of each State will take place at the occasion.
Hon. Kpaki stressed that the Forum offers unlimited opportunities for the economic development of the region and enjoined the States to ensure adequate active participation.
Meanwhile, preparatory to the NSGF/USA Investors and Aid Agencies Investment Forum, the Northern States Governors will on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 meet with the Administrator (world-wide) of USAID, Mr. Raj Shah as part of strategies to ensure success of the Forum.
