One of the leading Support Groups for APC Presidential candidate, known as The Asiwaju Group (TAG)  has  endorsed the candidature of Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada, the gubernatorial candidate of ADP in Kano state.

The Head of the group, Mubarak Baffa Muhammad stated this when he led members to declare their support for Sharada as governor of the state in the 2023 general elections.

Muhammad said at the presidential elections, The Asiwaju Group (TAG) have decided to vote for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu but would not vote for APC in governoship election in the state.

According to statement by spokesperson of the ADP governorship campaign council, Abbas Yushau,  the group said it had realized Sharada’s quality in becoming the governor of Kano state.

He added that TAG had since mobilized their people to cast their vote en-masse for Sharada.

In a remark, Sharada, who is a member of the House of representatives for Municipal federal Constituency, said they are yet to decide on any  presidential candidates vying for the presidency.

He welcomed the stand taken by TAG for endorsing him as governor,  noting that Nigeria’s democracy is becoming strong as people are going for individuals with track records and who could perform well.

Sharada added that he and his millions of followers in Kano are still on the fence noting that they are yet to decide on any of the Presidential Candidates.

The ADP candidate informed TAG that Some top APC elements in other states who are close to Asiwaju want force some of his supporters who are ready to vote for Asiwaju at the centre to withdraw their support and work for APC Governorship candidate in Kano.

The candidate further advised those elements to concentrate on the crisis affecting their state chapters of APC rather than exhausting their energy on futile Political mission.

Honourable Sha’aban Ibrahim said Kano people are wiser  enough to cast their votes on candidates who are competent to deliver  irrespective of their  political parties.

He noted that their distraction will not stop him ,the ADP and millions of his admirers and supporters from mobilising Votes as he prepares to take over Kano Government House come May 29 2023.
