A foundation known as Triangle Tennis Foundation, TTF, has planned to train 30 school children drawn from the 23 local government areas of Benue State in table tennis as a way of developing their skills in the game.

The training is also, expected to also expose the kids to basic education, tournaments and provide them with essential training and basic needs to be the best they can become.

Founder of the programme, Coach Kabiru Ibrahim of the Triangle Tennis Academy, who disclosed ths in an interview with newsmen in Makurdi, the Benue State capital said the Foundation is committed to supporting kids from other states of the federation.

Coach Ibrahim said that the initiative is a deliberate strategy  to fulfill his tennis ambition, stressing that the game “provides both physical and mental development for any child and help develop great character, problem solving skills, build self esteem and for those that are fortunate to compete at higher level.
