Rangers thrash Ingas FC to emerge champions of Enugu State FA Cup

Rangers International FC on Wednesday emerged winners of the 2023 Enugu State FA champions after humilititing Ingas FC 5-1 in the final played at the Liberty Stadium in Enugu.
Two goals in first half and additional three in the second half ensured that the 2017 Aiteo Cup winners qualified to the national level in style.
Chidera Eze scored the opening goal on 8th minute before Innocent Gabriel made it 2-0 10 minutes later.
But Ingas FC halved the deficit in the 22nd minute after Chidozie Okorie as the first half ended 2-1.
However Rangers unleashed their anger on their opponents as Chidiebere Nwobodo (56), Godwin Obaje (79) and Godwin Obaje (83) goals put the game to rest.
Speaking after the tournament, the Enugu State Football Association chairman, Honourable Tony Ugwu lauded the teams that participated in the competition.
“It was a rest final and the better team won. We commend all the teams that participated in the Competition, the referees, clubs owners and the Executive board for their support,” he said.
Rangers International and Ingas FC will represent Enugu State at the national FA/Aiteo Cup.
