10th National Assembly: Jigawa APC support consensus candidates

The Jigawa state chapter of All Progressive Congress (APC) has declared its support for adopting consensus in producing the 10th leadership of National Assembly, urging all the APC senators and Reps members to accept it in good faith.
The state chairman of the party Hon Aminu Sani Gumel made the declaration while briefing newsmen in Dutse.
He said, the choice of Senator Akpabio as Senate president and Senator Barau Jibrin as deputy senate president was done out of desire for national unity and progress.
“So also the choice of Tajuddern Abbas as Speaker and Ben Kalu as deputy speaker is for national interest and promoting all inclusiveness in Nigerian democratic process, which is inline with APC philosophy “ Aminu declared.
He however stated that, the Jigawa APC is in support of any process, programs and policies adopted by National headquter of the party that aimed at promoting Unity, peace and progress in Nigeria.
“We are also supporting our president elect Mr Bola Ahmad Tinibu and governor elect Malam Umar Namadi on the policies and programs they are having for the progress of our party.”
